Respiro Health is a Pune-based health-technology company developing AI-powered tools for respiratory disease pre-screening — designed from the ground up for India's scale, infrastructure constraints, and disease burden.
Our Mission
Respiratory diseases — tuberculosis, COPD, asthma, bronchitis — are among India's most significant public health challenges. Most patients present at an advanced stage of disease, not because early signs weren't there, but because the tools to act on them early don't reach where patients are.
Respiro's mission is to change that — by building a respiratory AI screening model that works through WhatsApp, reaches 500 million Indians without an app download, and requires no new clinical infrastructure to deploy.
What We Build
A WhatsApp-native model that analyses cough recordings to pre-screen individuals for respiratory disease — trained on confirmed-diagnosis data from real Indian OPDs under real acoustic conditions.
A multi-centre data collection platform capturing 33-item structured clinical intake alongside cough recordings — building India's first confirmed-diagnosis acoustic respiratory dataset.
A coordinator-facing application and clinical dashboard for participating hospital sites — managing consent, data collection, Phase 2 diagnosis follow-up, and real-time data quality monitoring.
A prospective multi-centre observational study targeting 25,000–30,000 confirmed-diagnosis recordings across geographies — in active collaboration with leading chest and pulmonary medicine departments across India.

Founder & CEO
Ajay brings 15+ years of software and technology experience to Respiro Health. He has built Respiro's entire technical stack — data pipelines, AWS infrastructure, WhatsApp integration, coordinator application, and clinical dashboard — as a solo technical founder. His focus is on building AI systems that work at India's scale, in India's acoustic and infrastructure reality.

Akash leads business relations and operations at Respiro Health, driving hospital partnerships, institutional outreach, and the operational infrastructure needed to scale the research programme across multiple geographies. He ensures that the clinical and commercial sides of Respiro move in lockstep.
Dr. Aslam Ali Parvez
Medical Advisor
Dr. Parvez serves as Respiro's Medical Advisor, providing clinical oversight across the research programme and ensuring the study design, protocol, and data collection methodology meet the highest standards of clinical rigour and regulatory compliance.
Where We Are
Respiro Health is incorporated in Pune, Maharashtra. Our research programme spans multiple geographies across India — with sites being activated in Punjab, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Andhra Pradesh, and active collaboration conversations with leading pulmonary medicine departments in Pune.
We are currently in the IEC approval process with participating hospital sites and have completed our first real-world deployment at a village health camp in Punjab in July 2026.
